Burpee Museum of Natural History
Burpee Museum explores animals, rocks and minerals, fossils, and native peoples with exhibits in a new facility connected to Riverfront Museum Park, and also offers classes, workshops, and special events as well as a Gift Shop and Snack Shop. One of the museum’s most recent additions is Jane, a 65 million year old tyrannosaur.

Discovery Center Museum
Discovery Center Museum features both permanent and traveling exhibits which offer exploration and discovery through over 180 science and arts exhibits, a planetarium, and outside in the Rock River Discovery Park.

Phantom Regiment Drum and Bugle Corps
The Phantom Regiment is a youth organization dedicated to the development of self-esteem and self-reliance. It encourages team work, sportsmanship, civic pride and contributions of one's personal best to a group effort. These lessons are learned through a musical and marching activity in which there is a blending of the arts and athletics.

Rockford AirFest
The Rockford AirFest, held annually at the Chicago/Rockford International Airport, draws approximately 30,000 visitors annually.

On the Waterfront
This nationally award-winning event is Illinois’ largest music festival. Held each Labor Day weekend, the three-day event brings together music, food and fun.  Encompassing over 30 blocks of downtown Rockford, there is music to satisfy everyone’s tastes.

4th of July Festivities
The City celebrates the birth of our great nation with a parade, a firework show, and other family events.  The Rockford Fourth of July has the largest firework show in the state of Illinois with over 4,000 shells that light up the sky over the beautiful Rock River and is Rockford's second largest tourist attraction.

Rockford Icehogs
The Rockford Icehogs hockey team, a franchise of the United Hockey Leaque, plays at the MetroCentre in downtown Rockford.

Rockford Riverhawks
The Rockford Riverhawks are an independent baseball team that is part of the Frontier League. They play at Marinelli Field on Rockford’s southwest side.

Rockford Ski Broncs
The Rockford Ski Broncs is Rockford’s world-class waterski team that performs on the beautiful Rock River every Wednesday and Friday from June until September.

Rockford Speedway
The Rockford Speedway is a quarter mile, high-banked, asphalt race track with fan friendly grandstand seating on both sides. In addition to the NASCAR sanctioned Weekly Racing Series, the facility is used for circuses, concerts, car shows, sporting events, swap meets, outdoor sales and numerous community fundraising events.

Volcano Falls Adventure Park
Volcano Falls is an adventure park offering a go-cart track, soccor cages, a game room and snack bar, laser tag, and a mini-putt golf course that surrounds a 3-story, erupting volcano.
